New Deck Feature! Folkloric Forest Tarot

The Folkloric Forest Tarot by Lennox Rees of Ivyly. Deck # 21 in my collection!

Why I chose this deck: Varied artwork, colors, and architecture add so much depth to readings, so the more decks I have to choose from, the better! However, I tend to hunt for a new deck when my personal energy shifts, the season changes, or when I feel led to.

Many decks I own are rich with enchanting fantasy art, which I heavily connected to during a phase of major Spiritual development in my life. Time spent alone and with God always feels so fantastical and supernatural, so I gravitated toward 5D-esque vibes for a while there…

But now that I’ve found myself in love with a man, very much rooted in the 3D world with him, I wanted a deck that felt natural, earthy, raw, and real. Artwork that depicted elements and animals in the honest realities of daily life, yet also felt effortlessly beautiful. Alive. Grounded. Authentic. That’s how life feels with my man!

“Relationships aren’t easy.” Not because they’re hard, but because they require transparency and equal investment that grows. Together, we are building our world. Our home. Our legacy. The days are packed with friends and family gatherings, busy house projects, laughing and talking… and the nights are a peaceful, safe haven of cozy kisses, snuggled pets, and falling asleep to nature documentaries. This tarot deck is a perfect representation of this same raw beauty!

About the Folkloric Forest: The creator designed this deck inspired by the folklores of the Finnish and Northern European cultures, highlighting the natural forest terrain. She wanted earth and nature in their purest forms, which are easily enchanting in a very real way! She originally made it for her own personal use, but decided to make copies to sell because so many people loved it!

About the artwork: The images are artist paintings that date back as early as the 1500’s. The designer then used editing software to make a few adjustments in placement or lighting so the images would better align with the Rider-Waite tarot system. The accompanying color guidebook gives the name of the painting, the artist, and the year it was made. The thinner card-stock is matte, smooth, and has a beautiful linen finish. Forest green edges blend perfectly with the gold gilding details on both sides, and the deck shuffles as easily as running my hands through tall wheatgrass on a warm Summer evening.

I hope you enjoy this stunning work of art as much as I do! To fully explore this deck and others by Lennox Rees, visit her website here: https://helloivyly.com/. As always, if you would like a personal reading, DM me or e-mail me at tarotofthefinch@gmail.com.
